Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum in Yerevan
On a spring day in 1925, the architect Alexander Tamanyan visited the great Armenian composer Spendiaryan.
He brought the master plan of a residential house that was being constructed at the intersection of Tumanyan and Nalbandyan streets.
Ararat Box headed to that exact place to explore the Spendiaryan house museum where Alexander Spendiaryan lived and worked.
This is the first musical memorial museum in Armenia. The sounds of Spendiaryan’s music accompany visitors as they are exposed to relics that creatively tell the story of his legacy.
The collection includes the composer’s personal items, documents, letters, and manuscripts.
