Commercial for investors who wants to invest in hospitality project in Areni Village in Armenia.

The village of Areni, 110km from the capital Yerevan, is located on the major AH82 highway connecting the capital with the southern provinces of Armenia. It is an important stop en route to Armenia’s southern tourist destinations.
Eponymous to one of the most iconic indigenous grape varieties in Armenia (Areni), it is located in a picturesque Vayots Dzor region and offers a variety of attractions (see Appendix for photos and more details):
Wine - Some of the country’s most prominent vineyards and wineries are based in the vicinity of the village, attracting increasing numbers of enotourists.
Archeology - The famous Areni-1 Cave, where the oldest known winery in the world was recently discovered (dated 6,000+ years old), is an archeological site offering tour visits, and is just over 2km away.
History - The 13th century Monastery of Noravank, a major local and national historical landmark, is within a short driving distance.
Nature - Areni is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with hiking routes, opportunities for butterfly, bird and wild animal watching, horse riding and cycling.
Culture - Every October, to celebrate the end of the harvesting season, Areni hosts the famous heavily frequented wine festival. Both new and established winemakers take part.
The importance of Areni, both the village and the grape variety, to the development of the country's wine industry has driven the Armenian government to invest in its promotion and infrastructure.
In recent years international donors have funded projects in agriculture, viticulture, winemaking and tourism & hospitality in the region.
